Amy is an accomplished and experienced public administrator, trainer and facilitator. Having been a leader in state government for over 20 years, she is keenly aware of the unique opportunities and challenges facing the public sector.
Amy is known for her trusted advice, her proven track record of delivering results, and her optimistic attitude. She specializes in the following areas:
- Facilitation: Amy has planned and facilitated hundreds of meetings and retreats for executive leaders and stakeholders. By dedicating time upfront, Amy gains clarity on what success looks like and then facilitates the group toward achieving it.
- Coaching: Amy has coached leaders, teams and practitioners to gain clarity and achieve results. She has supported and guided the development of mission, vision and values. Because of her strong reputation as a confidential and trusted advisor, Amy has been asked to coach leaders at all levels.
- Training and Workshops: Amy is a Certified Trainer and has designed and delivered training to thousands of leaders and practitioners. Amy is well-versed in adult learning theory and is masterful at making training both relevant and memorable.
- Mediation and Conflict Resolution: As a certified mediator, Amy is experienced and skilled at coaching others to navigate conflict.
Amy holds a Masters of Public Administration and is an adjunct faculty member for The Evergreen State College where she teaches graduate level courses in leadership development and public administration. Amy and her husband have two children (and two incredibly clever Labradoodles!) and make their home in Olympia.
