Amber Siefer, MPA specializes in designing community and economic development research solutions for organizations that serve the public. Amber brings a background in Anthropology and Public Administration with 10 years of experience that includes providing management consulting, leading interdisciplinary research studies and providing technical assistance and tools to local governments and community partners. Clients can expect a focus on problem identification to design solutions that will continue to provide value after the end date of a project.
Amber’s passion is practicing applied social and policy research that makes a difference to clients and communities by asking the right questions and measuring what matters. She knows that quality outcomes are driven by quality relationships with those you intend to serve. Her work is grounded in human-centered and participatory approaches built on intellectual honesty, empathy and radical listening for the purpose of shared sensemaking. She is committed to elevating the lived experiences and wisdom of local communities throughout the entire research process by using intentional acts of inclusion and knowledge sharing that draw from community members and client’s backgrounds, skills and perspectives, to create understanding, celebrate diversity and build shared pathways.
Outside of work, Amber relishes the time she spends with her two children in their hometown of Olympia, WA, and enjoys spontaneous camping and sea kayaking trips with friends as the Pacific Northwest weather allows.
