Claudia (she, her, ella) is an equity and transformation advocate, committed to empowering historically/systematically marginalized individuals and communities through cultural, access and linguistic sustainability lenses. With expertise in driving systemic change, capacity building, and community bridging, Claudia has successfully implemented multigenerational, and youth centered programs with lasting impacts for underserved communities, particularly BIPoC and immigrant/refugee populations. Her skills in group facilitation, project management, and bilingualism (English/Spanish) enable her to establish strong relationships, effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, and provide language interpretation and document translation services.
She holds a MEd in ESL/ELL and a BA in Elementary Education, along with certifications in K-8 Elementary Education. In her current role as the Institute Programs Director at Supporting Partnerships in Education & Beyond, she oversees program design, implementation, and information and data management, while providing coaching and support to staff and facilitating co-design methods with diverse communities.
Additionally, she has teaching experience and supporting developing programs/curriculum in Preschool through High School, Higher Education (ESL) and Abroad (Vietnam) settings. As well as consultancy roles with various organizations across King, Pierce, Thurston and Mason counties with focus on racial equity, language justice, accessibility, and educational leadership. Her participation in these leadership roles continues to impact positive change and project development. She also continues to serve through volunteer roles in her community and brings leadership skills from her prior experience as a U.S. Army Veteran, specializing in logistics.
