Jenn (she/her) has worked in the housing and homelessness sphere for 18 years and brings significant experience and ideas from outside the state of Washington to our consultation team. Since 2014, Jenn has worked on permanent supportive housing programs and projects as the Director of Homelessness for Governor Hickenlooper in Colorado and as a private consultant, working with several local governments in New Mexico, Colorado and rural California. Jenn loves projects that incorporate direct community engagement, policy analysis and policy development and the creation of new affordable housing communities. In 2018 Jenn helped to write the first affordable housing investment strategy for the Colorado Health Foundation as part of their health equity work in Colorado. Jenn brings nearly twenty years of experience in affordable housing finance, fundraising and program development to her work with local communities. This includes how to structure complex bond and tax credit financing for affordable housing and supportive housing.
From 2006 to 2013, Lopez was Executive Director of the Regional Housing Alliance (RHA) in Durango, Colorado where she oversaw the creation of a five-point action plan in La Plata County that leveraged millions of dollars in affordable housing opportunities. Jenn is a graduate of the Achieving Excellence leadership program at Harvard University and has a Masters in Community and Regional Planning at the University of New Mexico. Prior to her work in Southwest Colorado Jenn spent six years working in the affordable housing arena in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
