Connecting rational and logical strengths with creative and intuitive energy, Marilyn coaches her clients to understand, appreciate, and mobilize their inner world and external behaviors. She believes in creating a non-judgmental environment that honors her clients’ capabilities and the pace of their learning.
When working with individuals, Marilyn’s coaching involves guiding the client to set a vision for themselves, no matter how large or small. They then identify and align their internal landscape and innate gifts with the vision, offering the best likelihood that the vision will be fulfilled. Once the inner alignment has been established, the client works on aligning their external world, at least the parts they can influence, with the vision. They identify and strengthen the behaviors and habits that will support it, resulting in actions and practices that generate a roadmap for its realization.
Marilyn’s work with teams and leaders is similar, although understandably more complex. Each team member develops their vision, which when combined with those of their teammates, forms the basis for the team’s vision. They catalog their gifts and combine them with their colleagues to understand how best the team can achieve the vision it has set for itself. This combination leads to novel solutions consistent with team members’ and leaders’ authentic selves and the system within which they work.
